Our Skin is a Mirror of Underlying Inflammation 

The products we put on our skin or our skin absorbs from the environment can negatively impact our health, energy, and skin complexion. The ingredients can either trigger our hormones to cause us to gain weight, make us tired, and even trigger cancer cells to reproduce. The smaller amount of ingredients we can apply to our skin, and most important, that you actually know the better.

Our Skin's Micro biome is unique

Did you know that your skin is actually the largest organ in your body? It absorbs everything you come in contact with and puts that in your cells. Think about that the next time you touch something. Our skin has a preferred PH balance of around 5-5.5 which is significantly more acidic then our blood likes to be. This helps us fight off and kill bad chemicals. If we come in contact with high PH cleaning chemicals, lotions, soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioners that are increasing our skin's PH, we are destroying our body's first line of defense. 

What cleaning products you should use

Check the PH of the products you are using. If the PH is above 5.5 I would switch to a different product. Most products don't have the PH on them so you have to do some digging online or call the manufacturer. I have done lots of digging to find bars of soap that smell great and actually heal your skin. The 2 that I know of is Aveeno Moisturizing body bar which you can buy at Target

The only shampoo and conditioner out there that I could find that has a low enough PH was released by Aveeno not too long ago.
