What does it do?

1. Morpheus pulls in your daily sleep quality data from a garmin, fit bit, or your apple health app to factor that in to how recovered are you. It can also be entered manually every day.

2. Morpheus pulls in your activity data, steps, calories, etc. from a garmin, fit bit, or apple health app to factor that in as well.

3. Morpheus tracks your heart rate and HRV accurately, with no lag, the entire time you’re working out which if you’ve done an aerobic conditioning test with me keeps you accountable to training at the correct intensity and recovering to the correct heart rate for every single component of your workout.

4. Morpheus calculates your HRV in the morning, factors in all of the data from yesterday, and generates a recovery % and color.

5. The % and color gives you guidance on how hard you should workout that day, how many tasks at work and home you should try and tackle, or do you dial back on how much weight you were going to do/how many minutes you were going to run/how many things you were going to do at work/home, and/or do you just take the day off from working out and focus on recovery.

How does it help me with my workouts?

The chest strap combo is constantly measuring your HRV while you’re exercising and then recalculates your recovery % at the end of the workout so you can see the impact your workout had on your nervous system.

When you compare your daily HRV score to your average HRV score over the past week or longer, that is the key to telling you the following:

  1. If your daily HRV is lower than your average then that indicates that your body is currently breaking down fats and carbs and using them as fuel depleting your hormones and enzymes that you need for your goals. If you see this shift, then you should troubleshoot your sleep, relationship stress, alcohol, or nutritional choices. You also should back off on any weight training because your body has about a 15% greater probability of injury that day.

  2. If your daily HRV is higher than your average then that indicates that If your body is currently still repairing itself, and creating the hormones and enzymes that serve your goals.

  3. If your daily HRV is staying the same then you’re recovered great push yourself hard all over again. If it keeps happening then you have plateaued and your body isn’t adapting anymore to that type of workout and it is time to change programs or elements in your programs.

  4. When you look at your average HRV long term over the course of 3-4 weeks you can see if you’re actually improving aerobic fitness, metabolic health, stress levels, lower inflammation, lose body fat, and live longer.
